We’re just a couple of days away from St. Patrick’s Day, and perhaps you’re looking to drink something a little more inventive than green beer.  (Not that there’s anything wrong with that!)

However, if you’re looking for something a little outside of the box, check out these four cocktails! A few of these, and you’ll be jigging with the best of them!

Shamrock Sour Cocktail

Sure…it’s follows the “add food coloring” shortcut of green beer, but it’s still an underutilized alternative on St. Paddy’s Day.

If you follow my posts for Homes.com, you might have noticed this Shamrock Sour! I've been getting into the green spirit for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday with this delicious cocktail! Yes, green beer might be the norm for this Irish celebration, but this Shamrock Sour is so good that I'm sure it will quickly become your favorite St.

Irish Flag Shot

Equal parts Irish cream, Licor 43 and green crème de menthe help create this smooth dessert shot.

Irish Flag Drink Recipe - Mix That Drink

The Irish Flag drink is a layered shooter cocktail featuring Irish Cream, green creme de menthe and Licor 43. This combination mimics the colors of the Irish flag - green, orange and white. This shot is, of course, a very fun choice for St. Patrick's Day.

Tipsy Leprechaun Cocktail

Speaking of dessert, this boozy milkshake combines the St. Pat’s trifecta: Jameson, Bailey’s and Guinness.

Irish Coffee

If all else fails, nothing beats an Irish Coffee topped with a mound of whipped cream.

Irish Coffee Drink Recipe

The Irish Coffee is a classic cocktail featuring coffee and Irish whiskey. There are two variations on it, one with just Irish whiskey and coffee. If you prefer it sweeter, go with the optional Irish cream or sugar. (The Irish cream gets my vote.) This is a quintessential after dinner drink.
