Happy 4th of July America!

So, as I think about the 4th of July, I so remember when you could buy all kinds of fireworks. My older loved fishing with an explosive called an M- 80….yup.

Not only that, but he and his friends would light them and toss them into mailboxes. I was terrified just watching! My thing is still Bottle rockets & Roman Candles. I’ve always been a rule follower.

I wanted to share a few 4th facts with you! Check it out. Happy 4th!!

  • Star Number 50

The 50th star was added to the American flag on July 4, 1960. It symbolized Hawaii’s admission as the U.S.’s 50th state.

  • The National Anthem

Our national anthem wasn’t ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ until 1931.
It took 117 years for the words written in 1814 by Francis Key Scott to gain federal recognition. Now, it is easily one of the most famous songs in the country.

  • One World Trade

The One World Trade Center in New York was designed to be 1,776 feet tall.

One of the most spectacular features of the building is its height, which represents the year America declared independence from Great Britain.
