We told you last week about Fayetteville getting a drive-in movie theater – at least temporarily – in the parking lot of the Omni Cinemas 8. Well opening day is Friday, and prices have been set and presale tickets are now available.

The newly-branded Omni Cinemas Drive-In will have two films showing Friday and Saturday night, with “The Wizard of Oz” showing at 8:30 p.m. each night, and “Purple Rain” showing at 10:45 p.m., each night. Sunday, there will be one showing of “The Wizard of Oz” at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets for all shows are $5 per person, or $20 per car, $30 for large SUVs or trucks. You can buy pre-sale tickets now at Mountasia Golf at 3729 Sycamore Dairy Road in Fayetteville.

Concessions and bathrooms will be available.

A Facebook post by Adam Jay announced the opportunity – and updated with prices and times – for more than 200 cars to see films on a 40-foot digital outdoor screen.
